As I write this the sun has been shining for two days in a row… it feels like a long time since that happened!
With a month of international football to watch, my fingers are fully crossed that our local pubs can fill their gardens, put some cash in their tills and catch up on what must’ve been a difficult start to the year.
As the days get longer and the sun shines brighter, I wanted to reach out and wish each of you in The Lavingtons a fantastic and relaxing summer. There’s something magical about this time of year in our beautiful part of Wiltshire, the way our landscape comes alive with colour and the sense of community which becomes stronger than ever.
Summer is the perfect time to slow down a bit and enjoy the simple pleasures around us. Whether it’s a picnic at Peartree, a walk along the Plain from village to village, or a refreshing paddle in the brook, The Lavingtons has so much to offer.
We’re also lucky to have so many local events and activities lined up. I will hopefully see many of you at the various fetes and shows across the summer where we can have a drink and a chat. These events are not just about having fun; they’re about coming together and supporting each other as a community.
As your local councillor, I’m committed to making our community an even better place to live. This summer, as a Council, we’ll continue working on projects to improve our amenities, enhance our public spaces, and support initiatives that benefit Wiltshire residents. Your involvement and feedback is essential, so please don’t hesitate to share your thoughts and ideas.
